SALES MANAGER - Ex Products

Position Summary

Sales Manager – Ex Products is responsible for technical marketing and sales of the complete range of explosion proof equipment to the Norwegian market, including all aspects of the sales process as well as providing technical and engineering expertise. Technical knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail, great communication skills, and a positive attitude are key qualities necessary for this role.

Your Tasks:

Sales Manager – Ex Products will find and close new customers, manage major accounts and generate sales revenue for a highly technical product line. This includes:

  • Develop and manage business accounts within the oil & gas industry in Norway
  • Interpret customer technical requirements and offer appropriate solutions
  • Calculate client quotations
  • Provide ongoing technical product feedback to other sales staff
  • Negotiate and close product sales and support services
  • Support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Prepare and conduct sales forecasts and status reports
  • Assist with annual budget planning

Your Profile/Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years solid engineering background within the petroleum industry.
  • Good understanding and experience with explosion proof protection
  • Desire to work in a sales or business development role, selling complex technical products
  • Ability to identify technical issues
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
