History  1897 - 2017

J.S. Cock AS was established by Jens Sigvald Cock in 1897. Over the last 120 years, the supply of valves and related equipment to industrial processes and the shipbuilding industry has been the company's main business area. As of 2017, the company has 36 employees at its headquarters in Oslo and offices in Bergen, Arendal and Trondheim.

 

 

Valves and related equipment


J.S. Cock is one of the leading suppliers of valves, instrumentation and complete valve systems to industries such as shipbuilding, offshore, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical, water treatment plants, smelters, hydro, paper and wood processing. In recent years, J.S. Cock has also become a major supplier of valves and filtration systems for the aquaculture industry in Norway.

Power Coat paint systems


J.S. Cock offers "Power Coat" industrial paint and coatings as well as other trusted brands. Our product range covers most application purposes including rust and fire protection. Power Coat cans and aerosols are available through a network of more than 200 retailers in Norway.

Graco spray equipment


Since 1984, J.S. Cock has been the exclusive importer of Graco electric and gas-driven paint sprayers and equipment for professional painters and bodyshops. The product range also includes equipment for line marking of airports, roads and parking lots. In addition, J.S. Cock offers "Power Washer" pressure washers.

Family business for four generations


After Ivar S. Cock retired from his position after 30 years as CEO, his son Tobias Cock took over in 2016 representing the fourth generation to lead the family business.
